Keeper of the Names

The Keeper of the Names is a guardian responsible for preserving and safeguarding the names and dog tags of our members who have passed away. This role carries the solemn responsibility of honoring and protecting their memory, ensuring that their service, sacrifice, and camaraderie are never forgotten within our chapter. It serves as a symbol of respect and remembrance for those who are no longer with us, but whose legacies live on through us.

Keepers

Every year during our Annual Fallen Brother Memorial Ride a new Keeper will be selected from our chapter. They are chosen by the dedication and positive impact they have on our chapter and our community throughout the year. They will be responsible for safeguarding the names until our next ride. The dog tags will accompany us on our ride and will then be placed back on the Soldiers Cross and a new Keeper of the Names will be called forth to collect them.

Meaning of the Keeper

"We gather here today to remember those members of our chapter who have departed from this world. They were more than just colleagues; they were friends, mentors, and inspirations. Their dedication, their passion, and their unwavering commitment to our cause will forever be etched in our hearts.

Let us take a moment to reflect on the lives they lived and the impact they made. Their contributions to our chapter were invaluable, and their absence will be deeply felt. As we mourn their loss, let us also celebrate the time we shared with them. Their memory will continue to guide and inspire us as we move forward.

Let us honor their legacy by carrying on their work, by upholding their values, and by striving to make a difference in the world. May their souls rest in peace. Honor, remember, and protect their names."
